Carrie Underwood is getting recognized for her charitable work. The country star has been tapped to receive the Country Radio Broadcasters' 2014 Artist Humanitarian Award.
CRS President Charlie Morgan admits that the country format is "rich with artists that are generous with their time and talents for a wide variety of worthy causes and needs."
But he says Carrie has "distinguished herself with her depth of kindnesses and commitment to making a positive difference." He adds that the organization is "humbled by the good work she has done," and is "proud to highlight her efforts" with the honor.
Carrie will receive the award at the launch of next year's Country Radio Seminar, which will take place in Nashville from February 19th through the 21st.
