A CATSKILL MAN IS ACCUSED OF BRINGING DRUGS INTO THE
HUDSON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. 38 YEAR OLD ANDREW ROBINSON
WAS CHARGED BY STATE POLICE WITH PROMOTING PRISON
CONTRABAND AND CRIMINAL POSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.
HE'LL ANSWER THE CHARGES IN HUDSON CITY COURT.


A CATSKILL WOMAN IS FACING CHARGES FROM AN INCIDENT IN
THE TOWN ON JULY 22ND. STATE POLICE ARRESTED 33 YEAR
OLD SHANNON ELLETT ON A WARRANT. SHE WAS CHARGED WITH
FELONY ASSAULT AND CRIMINAL POSESSION OF A WEAPON.


A GHENT WOMAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH UNLAWFUL GROWING
OF CANNABIS BY COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPUTIES.
55 YEAR OLD JUDY STACKER WAS ISSUED APPEARANCE TICKETS FOR
TOWN COURT. POLICE CONFISCATED THE PLANTS.


AN ATHENS MAN WAS SENTENCED IN COLUMBIA COUNTY COURT,
AFTER ADMITTING TO VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION.
34 YEAR OLD MICHAEL TETRO WILL SERVE THREE YEARS
PROBATION. HE PLED GUILTY TO FIVE CHARGES OF CRIMINAL
CONTEMPT EARLIER THIS YEAR.


A 20 YEAR OLD WOMAN WAS INJURED YESTERDAY MORNING IN
A ONE CAR ACCIDENT IN NEW LEBANON. THE CRASH WAS ON
COUNTY ROUTE 9.


A 50 YEAR OLD WOMAN WAS TREATED FOR INJURIES AFTER TWO
CARS COLLIDED IN HIILLSDALE FRIDAY. THE ACCIDENT WAS
ON ROUTE 23.


A DISABLED CSX TRAIN BLOCKED A CROSSING IN COXSACKIE FOR
2 AND A HALF HOURS FRIDAY. TRAFFIC AT THE BAILY STREET
CROSSING BEGAN MOVING AGAIN AROUND 2:30PM.


TWO AREA TOWNS HAVE BIG EVENTS TODAY. IN GREENPORT, THE
HARVEST FESTIVAL RUNS FROM 11 TO 5 AT TOWN PARK. NEW THIS
YEAR, IS THE COMMUNITY YARD SALE. ATHENS HOLDS THEIR
ANNUAL COMMUNITY DAY TODAY, ACTIVITIES ARE PLANNED AT

ANNUAL BOZO'S RUN TODAY TO RAISE MONEY FOR COOPERATIVE
FOSTER CARE FOR CATS AND KITTENS. THE RUN IS IN MEMORY
OF BOZO THE CAT, WHO WAS KILLED NINE YEARS AGO. IT

A RESIDENT AT THE BROOKWOOD SECURE CENTER WILL SPEND THE
NEXT SEVEN YEARS IN STATE PRISON FOR ASSAULTING THREE
STAFF MEMBERS. 17 YEAR OLD CHARLIE RHINEHART RECEIVED THE
SENTENCE IN COLUMBIA COUNTY COURT, AFTER BEING CONVICTED ON
ASSAULT CHARGES IN JULY. HE WAS ARRESTED ON THE CHARGES
LAST DECEMBER.


A PRISONER AT THE FRANKLIN CORRECTIONAL FACILITY WAS CHARGED
THIS WEEK WITH PROMOTING PRISON CONTRABAND, WHILE HE WAS AT
THE HUDSON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. STATE POLICE SAY, 22 YEAR
OLD JORDAN WORTHLEY FACES CHARGES FROM A ROOM SEARCH BY THE
DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS BACK IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR.
HE'S SCHEDULED BACK IN COLUMBIA COUNTY COURT NEXT MONTH.


ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO ALBANY MED AFTER A ONE CAR ACCIDENT
IN VALATIE. NIVERVILLE FIRE AND VALATIE RESCUE RESPONDED
TO ROUTE 9 AT HARRIS DRIVE, WHERE THE VEHICLE STRUCK A
UTILITY POLE. NATIONAL GRID WAS ALSO CALLED TO THE
SCENE.


THREE COXSACKIE AREA RESIDENTS HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITH
WELFARE FRAUD. GREENE COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES REPORTS THE
ARRESTS OF:
42 YEAR OLD APRIL PRUIKSMA
36 YEAR OLD SHANNON MEIER
AND 54 YEAR OLD GARY BERLINSKY.
THEY WERE ALSO CHARGED WITH GRAND LARCENY. THE THREE
WILL ANSWER THE CHARGES IN CATSKILL VILLAGE COURT.


A HUNTER MAN FACES CHARGES AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP ON ROUTE
23A. STATE POLICE CHARGED 52 YEAR OLD VICTOR MARTINEZ WITH
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, DRIVING WITHOUT A
LICENSE, AND MARIJUANA POSESSION. HE'S SCHEDULED TO APPEAR
IN TOWN COURT.


A WOMAN IN HER 60'S IS BEING TREATED FOR INJURIES AFTER
FALLING DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS IN ATHENS. RESCUE CREWS
WERE CALLED TO HER HOME ON SLEEPY HOLLOW ROAD THURSDAY.
THE WOMAN WAS SEMI-CONSCIOUS WHEN SHE WAS FOUND.

TODAY IS THE 13TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SEPTEMBER 11TH
ATTACKS. GOVERNOR CUOMO SAYS THAT FLAGS ON STATE
GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS WILL BE FLOWN AT HALF STAFF TODAY.


FOUR HUDSON RESIDENTS ARE IN THE COLUMBIA COUNTY JAIL,
FACING CHARGES IN CONNECTION WITH THE ASSAULT OF A 36 YEAR
OLD MAN LAST SATURDAY ON FRANKLIN STREET. ARRESTED WERE:
22 YEAR OLD JAMES HARGROVE
19 YEAR OLD TYLER LAMONT
20 YEAR OLD ANTHONY BAYNES
27 YEAR OLD LAVONNE MCCLENDON
POLICE SAY, THE VICTIM WAS CHASED AND KNOCKED TO THE GROUND,
WHERE HE WAS PUNCHED AND KICKED. HE WAS FOUND SEMI-CONSCIOUS
IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET.


A TOWN OF CHATHAM MAN WAS AIRLIFTED TO THE WESTCHESTER
BURN UNIT YESTERDAY AFTER A RADIATOR EXPLODED. CHATHAM RESCUE
TREATED THE MAN FOR SEVERE BURNS TO HIS BODY. THE LANDING
ZONE WAS AT EVERGREEN HALL IN NIVERVILLE.


KISKATOM FIREMEN RESPONDED TO A STRUCTURE FIRE LAST
EVENING AT A HOME ON ROUTE 32. THE FIRE WAS CALLED IN
AROUND 6:30. IT WAS CONTAINED TO THE KITCHEN.


AFTER INVESTIGATION INTO A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT, A CATSKILL
MAN WAS ARRESTED ON SERIOUS CHARGES. STATE POLICE
CHARGED 19 YEAR OLD GINO GUADAGNO WITH FELONY BURGULARY,
OBSTRUCTION, RESISTING ARREST, LEAVING THE SCENE OF
AN ACCIDENT, DWAI, AND NUMEROUS OTHER CHARGES. HE
WAS HELD ON 10,000 DOLLARS BAIL.


AN 11 YEAR OLD BOY IS BEING TREATED FOR INJURIES AFTER
A TWO CAR ACCIDENT WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON IN GREENPORT.
THE CRASH WAS ON FAIRVIEW AVENUE, NORTH OF KIPP
LANE.


AN ACCIDENT IN TAGHKANIC BROUGHT EMERGENCY CREWS TO
COUNTY ROUTE 27 YESTERDAY MORNING. IT WAS AT THE INTERSECTION
OF COUNTY ROUTE 11.


THE HUDSON AREA HAS IT'S FIRST CHARGING STATION FOR
ELECTRIC CARS. THE NEW YORK POWER AUTHORITY AND NYSERDA
INSTALLED THE STATION IN THE KOHL'S PARKING LOT ON
FAIRVIEW AVENUE.

TEACHOUT IN THE STATE'S DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY ON TUESDAY.
ALTHOUGH, STATEWIDE CUOMO WON WITH AROUND 62 PERCENT
OF THE VOTE, IN COLUMBIA AND GREENE COUNTIES, TEACHOUT
CAME OUT ON TOP, BY A 2 TO 1 MARGAIN.


CUOMO NOW FACES REPUBLICAN CHALLENGER, ROB ASTORINO,
WHO HE EXPECTS TO DEBATE.


PRIMARY RESULTS FROM THE TOWN OF CATSKILL YESTERDAY:
DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR TOWN JUSTICE, LAURA KRZEMINSKI,
DEFEATED RICK JACOBS, TO TAKE THE INDEPENDENCE PARTY
LINE IN THE NOVEMBER ELECTION.


COLLIN LAMBERT OF HUNTER ADMITTED TUESDAY, TO ROBBING
BANKS IN SAUGERTIES AND NEW PALTZ IN 2013. THE 49 YEAR
OLD COULD GET UP TO 12 YEARS IN PRISON WHEN HE IS
SENTENCED NEXT MONTH IN ULSTER COUNTY COURT. NO WEAPON
WAS DISPLAYED AT EITHER ROBBERY. LAMBERT STILL FACES
CHARGES IN HERKIMER, WHERE HE'S ACCUSED OF ROBBING
A CREDIT UNION LAST DECEMBER.


TWO WOMEN, ACCUSED OF STEALING A CAR IN HUDSON AUGUST
13TH, HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AGAIN ON SIMILAR CHARGES.
CITY POLICE SAY THE 18 AND 17 YEAR OLDS WERE IN A
STOLEN CAR, WHEN THEY WERE PULLED OVER ON STATE STREET.
THEY'RE BEING HELD ON 20,000 DOLLARS BAIL. TWO
MEN IN THE VEHICLE WERE RELEASED PENDING A COURT
APPEARANCE. THE CAR WAS REPORTED STOLEN FROM 704
COLUMBIA STREET.


A CATSKILL WOMAN FACES FELONY CHARGES AFTER A DOMESTIC
INCIDENT IN THE TOWN. STATE POLICE CHARGED 36 YEAR OLD
MALANA ROBERTS WITH ASSAULT, MENACING, AND CRIMINAL
POSESSION OF A WEAPON. BAIL WAS SET AT 2500 DOLLARS.


A DOMESTIC DISPUTE IN THE TOWN OF CLAVERACK HAS
LANDED A CATSKILL MAN UNDER ARREST. 35 YEAR OLD
NATHAN SCALERA WAS CHARGED WITH FELONY ASSAULT AND
BURGULARY BY STATE POLICE. HE'S SCHEDULED TO APPEAR
IN TOWN COURT.

A GHENT MAN IS IN THE WARREN COUNTY JAIL, ACCUSED OF
PUNCHING A LAKE GEORGE BARTENDER SO HARD, HE FRACTURED
SEVERAL BONES IN THE MAN'S FACE. THE WARREN COUNTY SHERIFF'S
OFFICE CHARGED 25 YEAR OLD EARL LIONS WITH FELONY ASSAULT.
BAIL WAS SET AT 10,000 DOLLARS. THE VICTIM WAS TREATED
AT ALBANY MED.


OVER 471 THOUSAND DOLLARS IS ON THE WAY TO THE COLUMBIA
COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE, PART OF THE PROCEEDS OF ASSETS
SEIZED IN A MARIJUANA DISTRIBUTION CONSPIRACY. THE U.S.
ATTORNEY'S OFFICE ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY, 33 LAW ENFORCEMENT
AGENCIES WOULD SHARE OVER 12 MILLION DOLLARS. THE DRUG
CASE GOES BACK TO 2009.


THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS HAS AWARDED AN 8 MILLION
DOLLAR CONTRACT TO AN ILLINOIS COMPANY FOR DREDGING OF
THE HUDSON RIVER BETWEEN COXSACKIE AND ALBANY. DREDGING
MATERIAL WILL BE PLACED ON HOUGHTALING ISLAND IN NEW
BALTIMORE.


A TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT CLOSED PART OF ROUTE 23A IN CATSKILL
YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. CATSKILL FIRE AND AMBULANCE WERE ON
THE SCENE, AT TOOLHOUSE ROAD. ONE MAN WAS IN HIS 50'S,
THE OTHER IN HIS TEENS.


OFFICIALS HAVE CLOSED ROUTE 42 IN GREENE COUNTY THIS WEEK,
FROM ROUTE 28 TO BEECH RIDGE ROAD. CREWS THERE CONTINUE TO
CLEAN UP A LARGE ROCKSLIDE FROM MAY. DETOURS ARE IN PLACE.


TWO GREENE COUNTY MAN ARE FACING FELONY BURGULARY CHARGES
IN THE VILLAGE OF ATHENS. STATE POLICE HELD BOTH 49 YEAR OLD
RICKY OSBORN OF CAIRO AND 23 YEAR OLD LAWRENCE OSBORN OF
CATSKILL AFTER THEIR ARREST.
