STRONG STORMS MOVED THROUGH THE AREA OVERNIGHT.

THERE ARE NO REPORTS OF DAMAGE OR POWER OUTAGES

IN COLUMBIA OR GREENE COUNTIES THIS MORNING.

 

 

TWO GERMANTOWN RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN TO THE

DUTCHESS COUNTY JAIL, FOLLOWING THEIR ARREST

ON DRUG CHARGES. RED HOOK POLICE SAY, 41 YEAR

OLD JAMES MCCORMICK AND 34 YEAR OLD AIMEE

DUPONT WERE IN POSESSION OF HEROIN AND 

PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS, WHEN THEY WERE STOPPED

ON NORTH BROADWAY. THEY'RE BEING HELD ON

5000 DOLLARS BAIL.

 

 

A PHILMONT MAN WAS SENT TO THE GREENE COUNTY 

JAIL AFTER HIS ARREST AT THE CATSKILL WALMART.

VILLAGE POLICE CHARGED 43 YEAR OLD PATRICK 

HARDY WITH BURGULARY AND PETIT LARCENY. BAIL

WAS SET AT 13,000 DOLLARS.

 

 

A TWO CAR ACCIDENT SENT ONE PERSON TO ST. PETERS

HOSPITAL MONDAY MORNING. THE CRASH WAS ON ROUTE

66 IN CLAVERACK, AT FISH AND GAME ROAD.

 

 

ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER A TWO

CAR ACCIDENT IN STUYVESANT YESTERDAY. FIRE AND

RESCUE CREWS WERE ON THE SCENE, ON ROUTE 9J.

 

 

ANOTHER ACCIDENT, ON ROUTE 66 IN GHENT, ENDED

WITH ONE PERSON TAKEN TO COLUMBIA MEMORIAL.

THE CRASH WAS AT CAMPHILL ROAD.

 

 

GREENE COUNTY FIREMEN RESPONDED TO A LARGE

BRUSH FIRE MONDAY AFTERNOON. IT WAS LOCATED ON

PROPERTY OFF KREITMIER ROAD IN NEW BALTIMORE.

 

 

TWO RESIDENTS OF THE BERKSHIRE FARM CENTER

IN CANAAN ARE FACING FELONY BURGULARY CHARGES.

STATE POLICE ARRESTED 18 YEAR OLD DURANTE

TIRADO AND 16 YEAR OLD QUAJON RHODES. BOTH HAVE

SCHEDULED COURT APPEARANCES.

 

 

TWO TEENS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH

A JULY 17TH BURGULARY IN THE TOWN OF SAUGERTIES.

17 YEAR OLD ROBERT HARP OF SAUGERTIES AND 16

YEAR OLD MICHAEL DOYLE OF CAIRO WERE CHARGED

WITH FELONY BURGULARY BY STATE POLICE.

FIRE DESTROYED A TRAILER IN ACRA SUNDAY MORNING.

CAIRO FIREMEN WERE CALLED TO THE FULLY INVOLVED

STRUCTURE FIRE JUST BEFORE 5:30. IT WAS LOCATED

AT DOHERTY'S MOUNTAIN CAMPGROUND ON JOSEPH

CHADDERDON ROAD. NO WORD OF ANY INJURIES.

 

 

SOME SCARY MOMENTS YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AT LAKE

TAGHKANIC, WHEN A BOAT BEGAN TAKING ON WATER,

LEAVING TWO SUBJECTS WERE IN THE LAKE. TAGHKANIC

FIREFIGHTERS RESPONDED AND RETURNED THE TWO

TO SHORE SAFELY.

 

 

TAGHKANIC FIREMEN WERE ALSO CALLED TO A ONE

CAR ACCIDENT ON THE PARKWAY SUNDAY. A VEHICLE

ROLLED OVER IN THE SOUTHBOUND LANES. TWO

PATIENTS WERE TAKEN TO NORTHERN DUTCHESS

HOSPITAL.

 

 

A CHATHAM MAN IS ACCUSED OF HAVING SEXUAL 

CONTACT WITH A 14 YEAR OLD CHILD. STATE POLICE

CHARGED 29 YEAR OLD JASON HAMMELL WITH FORCIBLE

TOUCHING AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT. HE'LL ANSWER

THE CHARGES IN NASSAU TOWN COURT.

 

 

THREE BROOKLYN MEN ARE IN THE COLUMBIA COUNTY

JAIL, ACCUSED OF BEING IN POSESSION OF FORGED

CREDIT CARDS AND A CREDIT CARD IMPRINTING

MACHINE, DURING A TRAFFIC STOP ON THE THRUWAY

IN CHATHAM. STATE POLICE ARRESTED RICHARD MARC,

MARLAND DAVID, AND ROLAND DAVID. BAIL FOR THE

THREE RANGES FROM 25 TO 50 THOUSAND DOLLARS.

 

 

AFTER A LARCENY INVESTIGATION IN THE TOWN

OF CATSKILL, A PALENVILLE WOMAN FACES FELONY

CHARGES. 27 YEAR OLD CARRIE PENNISTON WAS CHARGED 

BY STATE POLICE WITH GRAND LARCENY, FALSIFYING

BUSINESS RECORDS, AND OFFERING A FALSE INSTRUMENT.

SHE WAS HELD BY POLICE AFTER BEING CHARGED.

 

 

A PHYSICAL ALTERCATION ON BROSS STREET IN CAIRO

HAS ENDED WITH A SAUGERTIES MAN IN THE GREENE

COUNTY JAIL. CAIRO POLICE CHARGED DAMION RYAN

WITH ASSAULT, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, AND CRIMINAL

CONTEMPT. POLICE SAY, HE VIOLATED AN ORDER OF

PROTECTION.

A CHATHAM MAN WAS AIRLIFTED TO ALBANY MED FRIDAY

AFTERNOON, AFTER BEING STRUCK BY A CAR IN

NIVERVILLE. EMERGENCY CREWS WERE CALLED TO THE

ACCIDENT ON ROUTE 28 AT STATE FARM ROAD. 

THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS 68 

YEAR OLD DONALD WILBER HAS SERIOUS INJURIES.

THE DRIVER OF THE CAR, 45 YEAR OLD LEAH

TRICOZZI OF VALATIE, WAS NOT INJURED.

 

 

A SERIOUS ACCIDENT CLOSED ROUTE 9W IN ATHENS

YESTERDAY. FIRE AND RESCUE UNITS WERE CALLED

TO THE MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT AT KINGS ROAD,

JUST AFTER 12:30. THE MALE OPERATOR WAS

REPORTED TO BE UNRESPONSIVE IN THE ROAD.

A FEMALE PASSENGER WAS NOT INJURED AS BADLY.

 

 

OTHER ACCIDENTS FRIDAY THAT REQUIRED AN

EMERGENCY RESPONSE WERE ON WOODBRIDGE AVENUE

IN CHATHAM AND ON LEEDS-ATHENS ROAD IN

ATHENS.

 

 

A 50 YEAR OLD MAN CUTTING TREES IN CHATHAM

WAS TAKEN TO ALBANY MED WITH SEVERE INJURIES

AFTER FALLING NEARLY 50 FEET FROM A BUCKET

TRUCK. THE ACCIDENT WAS ON HOWES ROAD IN

THE TOWN OF CHATHAM. THE MAN SUFFERED HEAD

INJURIES AND REPORTEDLY WENT INTO CARDIAC

ARREST.

 

 

AN 18 YEAR OLD FROM HUDSON IS ACCUSED OF

HAVING AN INAPPROPRIATE SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP

WITH A 13 YEAR OLD. STATE POLICE CHARGED

DYLAN COWIN WITH SEXUAL MISCONDUCT. THEY SAY,

IT TOOK PLACE IN JUNE. HE'S SCHEDULED TO

APPEAR IN CLAVERACK TOWN COURT TUESDAY.

 

 

A CHATHAM MAN, WHO WANDERED FROM HIS HOME

THURSDAY, WAS FOUND SAFELY THANKS TO THE PROJECT

LIFESAVER PROGRAM THROUGH THE COLUMBIA COUNTY

SHERIFF'S OFFICE. SHERIFF'S DAVID BARTLET

SAYS, ONCE THEY RECEIVED THE REPORT OF THE

MISSING MAN, TRACKING EQUIPMENT WAS SET UP

AND HE WAS QUICKLY FOUND. THE PROGRAM

INVOLVES A WRISTBAND WITH A TRACKING DEVICE.

 

 

A LOCAL CELL PHONE STORE IS HOLDING THEIR

ANNUAL SCHOOL BACKPACK GIVEAWAY TODAY.

THE CELLULAR CONNECTION IN HUDSON AND

CATSKILL ARE GIVING AWAY BACKPACKS, FILLED

WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES FROM NOON TO THREE.

IT'S LIMITED TO ONE PER CHILD, AND THE CHILD

NEEDS TO BE PRESENT.

TWO BROTHERS ARE ACCUSED OF BEING PART OF A

BURGULARY SPREE IN COLUMBIA COUNTY. STATE POLICE

ARRESTED 44 YEAR OLD JAMES SMITH OF GREENPORT

AND 41 YEAR OLD LELLAN SMITH OF TAGHKANIC. POLICE

SAY THE BUSINESSES HIT STRETCHED FROM CLAVERACK

TO GREENPORT, TO KINDERHOOK. THEY'RE BEING HELD

WITHOUT BAIL.

 

 

POLICE CONTINUE THEIR SEARCH FOR THE TWO MEN

INVOLVED IN THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT HOME INVASION IN 

HUDSON THAT LANDED A TWO TIME IRAQI WAR VETERAN IN 

ALBANY MED. 30 YEAR OLD IAN DELANEY WAS SHOT IN

THE CHEST DURING THE INCIDENT ON NORTH 6TH STREET. 

HE REMAINS IN CRITICAL CONDITION. HUDSON POLICE ASK 

ANYONE WITH INFORMATION TO CALL THEM AT 828-33-88.

 

 

GREENPORT RESCUE WAS CALLED TO MAIN STREET IN

PHILMONT YESTERDAY TO TREAT THE VICTIM OF AN

ASSAULT. AN 18 YEAR OLD IS REPORTING, HE WAS

STRUCK WITH A BASEBALL BAT, AND MONEY WAS TAKEN

FROM HIM. POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING.

 

 

A CONNECTICUT WOMAN WILL SPEND THE NEXT TWO

YEARS IN PRISON, AFTER ADMITTING SHE VIOLATED

PROBATION FROM A PREVIOUS CONVICTION. 28 YEAR OLD

LYNN FERGUSON WAS CONVICTED OF DRUG POSESSION

CHARGES FROM A TRAFFIC STOP LAST YEAR IN HILLSDALE.

 

 

A MAN WAS TAKEN TO ALBANY MED THURSDAY MORNING,

AFTER HIS JEEP ROLLED OVER IN LIVINGSTON. FIRE

AND RESCUE CREWS RESPONDED TO THE SCENE ON ROUTE

82, SOUTH OF THE BELLS POND INTERSECTION.

 

 

OTHER ACCIDENTS YESTERDAY THAT REQUIRED AN

EMERGENCY RESPONSE, WERE ON ROUTE 23 IN CLAVERACK,

ROUTE 23 IN CATSKILL, SOUTH 3RD STREET IN HUDSON, 

AND ROUTE 81 IN DURHAM.

A HUDSON MAN WAS AIRLIFTED TO ALBANY MED, AFTER 

BEING SHOT IN THE CHEST AT 65 NORTH 6TH STREET 

WEDNESDAY NIGHT. HUDSON POLICE SAY 30 YEAR OLD 

IAN DELANEY WAS SHOT BY TWO BLACK MEN WHO ENTERED 

THE APARTMENT JUST BEFORE 9PM. STATE POLICE AND 

THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT IS ASSISTING WITH THE 

INVESTIGATION.

 

 

MORE CHARGES FOR A 16 YEAR OLD BERKSHIRE FARMS

RESIDENT. STATE POLICE CHARGED DANIEL REPKO OF

STUYVESANT WITH FELONY BURGULARY, FOR AN INCIDENT

MAY 24TH IN THE TOWN OF KINDERHOOK. THAT WAS THE 

DAY HE IS ACCUSED OF LEADING POLICE ON A 9 MILE 

PERSUIT, BEFORE CRASHING INTO TWO STATE POLICE 

CARS IN SCHODACK. HE CONTINUES TO BE HELD ON 

BAIL.

 

 

FELONY CHARGES FOR A 13 YEAR OLD GALLATIN BOY.

HE'S BEEN CHARGED BY STATE POLICE WITH CRIMINAL

SEX ACT, WITH A VICTIM UNDER 11. THE ALLEGED

INCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN THE TOWN OF LIVINGSTON.

THE TEEN HAS A SCHEDULED COURT APPEARANCE.

 

 

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS RESPONDED TO ROUTE 9H IN

KINDERHOOK YESTERDAY, AFTER TWO CARS COLLIDED,

AND ONE ROLLED OVER. THREE PEOPLE WERE EVALUATED 

FOR MINOR INJURIES. THE ACCIDENT WAS NEAR KEEGAN 

ROAD.

 

 

A 61 YEAR OLD MAN WAS RUSHED TO ALBANY MED

WEDNESDAY, AFTER AN ACCIDENT WITH A TABLE SAW IN 

NEW BALTIMORE. COXSACKIE AMBULANCE AND GREENE

COUNTY MEDICS WERE CALLED TO 252 HILLCREST ROAD.

THE MAN REPORTEDLY AMPUTATED FOUR FINGERS.

 

 

TANNERSVILLE RESCUE AND HUNTER AMBULANCE

WERE ON THE SCENE IN HUNTER YESTERDAY MORNING,

AFTER A 9 YEAR OLD BOY SUSTAINED A SERIOUS

FOOT INJURY WHILE SWIMMING. THE ACCIDENT WAS

IN THE CREEK OFF MAIN STREET.

 

 

CENTRAL HUDSON IS ALERTING IT'S CUSTOMERS TO

THE LATEST SCAM. SOME PEOPLE REPORTED GETTING

A CALL FROM A FAKE CENTRAL HUDSON EMPLOYEE. THE

CALLER TELLS THE VICTIM TO PAY BY CASH OR MONEY

ORDER, OR THEIR SERVICES WILL BE SHUT OFF.

CENTRAL HUDSON SAYS, IF YOU GET A CALL LIKE THIS, 

HANG UP AND CALL THEM.
